According to the American Psychological Association, “Personality” refers to individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. By this definition alone, it means that no person is alike. It is always possible that you may have the same interests, hobbies, and the likes with another but it will never happen that you will have the same personality as that person. Personality is, in a sense, comparable to thumbprints.

different personality types

So why is personality important? It is essential because it is one of the person’s primal means of coping with the world he/she’s living in. Personality can shape someone’s individuality, and at the same time, it also helps in the formation of someone’s attitude. Truth be told that experiences in life can also change a person’s perspective, therefore, affecting his/her personality in the process. You know what the magical thing is? No two people can have the same experiences in life. So much for that, let’s get deeper into this topic.
