One of the best Black Mirror episodes that come to mind is Bandersnatch. It’s so unique because it’s an episode where the viewers are made to choose their own adventures. Confusing? Not really. It’s still basically a full-length episode but this time, you as a viewer would be able to choose the routes you want the main character to follow. The viewers will have the option to view as it is and then backtrack as it falls as an interactive episode.

The story is basically about a video game programmer in the 1980s named Stefan (Fionn Whitehead). He is also the one supposedly responsible for the development of the fantasy novel Bandersnatch. Overall, the episode has 5 main endings that you can end up with and these endings are the trigger of the closing credits.

A huge fight between Stefan, his dad, and Dr. Hayes ensues.

Stefan goes all conscious when he shares to Dr. Hayes his thoughts about being controlled by “you” (the viewers) and he goes on saying that you told her about Netflix and all. She goes on saying that it should be a bit more dramatic than this, insinuating that she believes you in a way. If you pick the choice to “fight her”, you get a fight that ensues between Dr. Hayes and Stefan’s dad, with Stefan’s dad dragging him out of the office in frustration.

It’s jail time for Stefan.

If you go on killing Colin or your own dad, then this ending comes as no surprise. Also, the dog that dug up the body has plenty to do with it.

This is an alternate ending to the first one where you decide to “fight” Dr. Hayes. This is an option to “climb” out the window but this ends up confusing Stefan as it is revealed that the office is just a movie set and they’re all actors there. Also, a director pops up and tells Stefan that what he did was wrong and that the only option was to fight.
