Goosebumps 2 is just around the corner and fans all around are rejoicing as Halloween nears.
The first movie has been dubbed as a success, grossing around $150 million worldwide against their $50 million budget. Of course, this success would prompt Sony to release a sequel and what company wouldn’t? Goosebumps has been commended for their unique and child-friendly plot so it’s no surprise that the movie was a big hit among people of different ages.
Now, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween has some serious living-up-to to consider if it wants to surpass its predecessor. For one, the cast and characters of the first movie were heavy and they seriously delivered. Although the plot of the second installment mimics the first one in a lot of aspects, their cast seems to be a whole new thing. With that, people should expect that the characters are going to be different, as well; a good thing because casting the same people for almost the same plot would be considered disastrous.
Slappy is Back —with a Vengeance! As far as plots would go, Goosebumps 2 has decided to keep a lot of ideas from the first one with a lot of tweaks. The film was originally going to be called Goosebumps 2: Slappy’s Revenge but they opted for a more sinister change. That doesn’t mean our creepy resident dummy won’t be showing up because he’s going to be doing more than that. Slappy is back and he’s back with a vengeance. Judging from the trailer, resident bad boy Slappy is going to be unleashing hell on Halloween and it’s up to our new protagonists to stop the mayhem. 17-year old Sarah Quinn and her younger brother Sonny will be joined by Sonny’s best friend, Sam, as they take on the monstrosities that escape the book for a second time.
Checkout the Protagonists of Goosebumps 2 played by Madison Iseman the resident sweetheart as Sarah. You’ll find her very familiar as she’s starred in famous movies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle as young Bethany, in Beauty Mark as Pam, and in shows like Still the King. Sarah’s younger brother Sonny is portrayed by Jeremy Ray Taylor who you’ve seen in the blockbuster horror movie, “It”; so you could say that this isn’t Jeremy’s first horror film. Caleel Harris from the shows “Castle Rock” and “The Loud House” plays Sonny’s best friend Sam. You’ve noticed that our three protagonists are new to the scene but I am hopeful as they have all starred in really great films and shows, and has showcased incredible talents.
The Amazing Cast of Goosebumps 2 movie, despite the absence of the first’s Jack Black (and it’s other amazing cast), has a number of notable actors and actresses that people are looking forward to watching. At the moment, faces like Ken Jeong, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Chris Parnell, and Shari Headley are confirmed to be in the next installment.
Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween comes out on October 12, 2018, and is the perfect movie to enjoy with family and friends, especially on the month where scary movies rule.
