3. The Adventures of Tintin

A computer-animated mystery adventure film, The Adventures of Tintin has been already released last 2011. Steven Spielberg was the one who directed the film, though. However, Jackson plays a pivotal role as the film’s producer. This 3D motion capture computer-animated film is based on the popular comics series with the same name by Hergé. The film grossed 373 million USD and positive reviews.

4. King Kong

It seems that Peter Jackson has a fondness towards epic as he, once again, co-written, produced, and directed the epic monster adventure film King Kong. This will revolve around the story and rampage of the legendary giant monster gorilla in New York City. The said film garnered a total of 550.5 million USD, which is obviously way higher than the production budget of 207 million USD. King Kong then went on to win three Academy Awards – Best Sound Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound Mixing.

5. The Frighteners

Are you also a fan of horror comedy? Well, there is an amazing horror comedy that may not have achieved a box office success, grossing only over 29 million USD, but that is because it has to face off with the movie Independence Day at that time. Over the years, the film has gained a cult following. The film, directed and produced by Peter Jackson, is the last leading role in a live-action feature film by Michael J. Fox.
