The How to Train Your Dragon franchise is finally coming to a near end as its third and final installment is set to hit theaters sooner than you imagine. It was a wild ride for most of us, especially if you’ve invested a lot of emotions in this trilogy. The first two movies were amazing and it tugged on a lot of heartstrings and I’m 100% sure that this last one would do the same, in fact, it would do worse. Just imagining the end of a great trilogy is making me dread but also, I am quite excited for the movie itself.

Of course, the movie wouldn’t be a complete success without its outstanding cast and crew. The animation has always been glorious and the musical scores are always on point, and then we have the voices! Yes, the voices of our beloved characters, the people who bring these characters to life (aside from the animation team) and in case you forgot, here is the original How to Train Your Dragon cast and the additional ones that made it to How to Train Your Dragon 3.

Jay Baruchel has and will always be the perfect Hiccup. His off-screen personality matches with his on-screen character and that’s probably the best thing to happen. This isn’t Jay’s first gig though as he’s been in plenty of well-known movies like She’s Out of My League, This is the End, Tropic Thunder, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and so much more.

Cate Blanchett

Now this one is a no brainer. Who doesn’t know Cate Blanchett? She’s only the most perfect human being in the face of the planet – that, and she’s an incredibly talented actress. She voices Valka in How to Train Your Dragon and nobody else could do it justice as she does. I could list down all of Cate’s movies but it’ll take me forever. For those who aren’t “that” familiar, Cate played Stepmother in the Cinderella live action as well as Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings franchise.

America Ferrera

America Ferrera has always been a household name in Hollywood. This stunning lady has guts, just like Astrid, and is not someone to just keep her silence. She played Betty in the American version of Ugly Betty which ran from 2006 to 2010. She’s been in Superstore since its release and was super relatable in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Kit Harington as Eret

Where do I even begin with Kit Harington? For starters, he hasn’t been in a “lot” of movies but he does play Jon Snow in the groundbreaking Game of Thrones series, so there’s that. A few of his movies include Pompeii and Gunpowder.

Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast

An actor who is no stranger to action films, Gerard Butler is probably a fitting voice actor for Stoick the Vast. This is all thanks to the fact that he’s starred in plenty of incredible action films including the famous 300, as well as Olympus Has Fallen, and Den of Thieves. Not to forget, Butler also has a comedic side as he stars in funny movies including The Ugly Truth and The Bounty Hunter.

Craig Ferguson as Gobber

Craig Ferguson may not have a lot of movies to his name but he did host one of the world’s most famous late-night shows: The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The show ran from 2005 to 2014. As one of the How to Train Your Dragon cast, Ferguson lends his voice to the character Gobber.

Kristen Wiig as Ruffnut

Ah, resident funny chick Kristen Wiig definitely deserves a spot in this list of How to Train Your Dragon cast. In fact, she deserves to be on a list of every ‘funny people’ catalog. You might remember her from Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters, The Martian, Masterminds, and more importantly, Saturday Night Live.

Jonah Hill as Snotlout

If you don’t know Jonah Hill, then you must live under a giant rock. Jonah Hill is one of the funniest people alive and it’s not just because of how he looks. The guy just knows how to do humor. He starred alongside Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street, as well as its predecessor, 22 Jump Street. Both movies were hilarious. Even though his movies seem all fun and games at one point, Hill is definitely a versatile actor, as he is also good with drama.

T.J. Miller as Tuffnut
