“Some Vices Are More Dangerous Than Others”

Christian Bale delivers such a powerful performance in Adam McKay’s movie “Vice”. Together with stars Amy Adams, Steve Carell, Alison Pill, Eddi Marsan, and Alison Pill, they were able to bring out an excellent performance enough to get them numerous nominations from major award-giving bodies.

Vice, rated R for language and some violent images, hit the theaters last December 25, 2018. It tells the true-to-life story of the most powerful vice president in the history of America. Richard Bruce Cheney, called Dick Cheney by those who he is familiar with, served as VP to George W. Bush. He is considered as an influential authority that helped reshape the country to what it is today.

The story is told from the perspective of a man named Kurt. For those who aced their history subject in school, they should know that Kurt is the one who assassinated Cheney. Eventually, he became Cheney’s heart donor.

The film can be considered as a dramedy biopic. It delves deep into Cheney’s political career, which makes it a movie with a potential to be divisive. Some people may like it; others may not.

The hype for this film has yet to die down. Have you seen it yet? If yes, do you like how Cheney was portrayed in the film? If not, why?
