It wouldn’t be much of a wait but it’s really getting us very excited especially that the 2019 reboot of the ever-so-famous ‘Hellboy’ is just around the corner. Graphic novel and film enthusiasts cannot wait for this remake for a lot of good reasons.
First, it has one of the most amazing cast ever, with David Harbour (Stranger Things) playing as Hellboy. With his stature, he’s obviously the most perfect for this role. He is joined by Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, Ian McShane, and the one and only Mila Jovovich who plays Nimue the Blood Queen. Second, it’s going to be less ‘superhero-y’ and it’s going lean more on being a horror genre. Sure, Hellboy fights bad guys. However, they are mostly enemies he needs to cull in order to defend himself so that’s that. Lastly, it’s not going to be all serious. The people behind it says that there’s going to be dark humor injected to it which a lot of us love.
Neil Marshall sits on the director’s chair for this upcoming ‘Hellboy’ reboot. Marshall had long promised that he will base his work on the original graphic novel produced by Mike Mignola.
The remake is set to be released in theaters this coming April 12, 2019. Even now, many people are looking forward to whether or not this film can live up to expectations. Before we get too attached though, check out the teaser photo below first for more details:
