A brand new horror thriller of stalking and murder will be gracing the big screen come March 1, 2019. This film, entitled Greta, is directed by Neil Jordan. This is his take on a stranger finding a good company with another, only to find out that the other isn’t who she seems to be.

Greta focuses on the story of a young woman who finds a green handbag inside the subway. Her horror begins when she returns the handbag to its owner, Greta. Initially, Greta acts as a pleasant person overflowing with graciousness and maternal charm, albeit a bit eccentric as well. The young woman soon realizes that widowed Greta’s eccentricities and loneliness are beyond what she can handle.

The plot may not seem all that brand new when you comb through a plethora of thrillers released since the big screen started. So why should you watch Greta? What makes it greater?

The film may not be a classic but it is definitely not a pushover in the box office. For one, sitting at its directorial chair is Neil Jordan. He is the same director who gave us the classic hit Interview with a Vampire.

Another factor that will probably contribute to the success of the film is the members of the cast. Isabelle Huppert, who plays the titular role of Greta, looks quite suitable to play the said eccentric French piano teacher. Chloe Grace Moretz, who plays the young woman Greta will haunt, with her experience in other horror films such as ‘Suspiria’ and ‘The Amityville Horror,’ adds color to the film too.

With the director, script, and plot in place, Greta will predictably fare well in the box office. Although it may not achieve the same gross as horror films Get Out and Happy Death Day 2U in terms of ticket sales, moviegoers will surely still be able to have a good jump scare. Watch in theaters to enjoy a full experience of Greta’s horror.
