James Wan has definitely made such a grand entrance in the DC Universe with his take of the latest film “Aquaman.”
Aquaman is one of the well-known superheroes of the Justice League. All comic book and superhero fans who have witnessed the majestic era of Marvel and DC will know of who this aquatic prince is. In fact, many find him a favorite due to his dreamy background. And it is James Wan who actually gave life to him on the big screen when he signed up to direct his solo movie.
Before Jason sat on the directorial chair of “Aquaman” though, he honed his skill in the horror genre. If you are a casual moviegoer, then you may not have heard of his name. However, you would have definitely heard of the movies he had directed. The horror movies credited to his name include Dead Silence (2007), Insidious (2010), Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), The Conjuring (2013), and The Conjuring 2 (2016). These movies are box office hits that even non-horror fans want to watch.
Wan’s directorial expertise and insights were honed through his experience in the said movies. It is probably the reason why, even when Wan has switched from the horror realm to the DC Universe, we can still expect his work to be a big hit.
Starring Jason Momoa, the film “Aquaman” hits the theaters this December 21, 2018.
