Being Khal Drogo of HBO’s famous series Game of Thrones and Aquaman of DC’s latest Justice League hit film, it takes Jason Momoa almost instantly to the top of Hollywood’s bad boys list. Let’s face it. That list keeps getting better and better. But we often get blown away to learn that these bad boys are actually pretty good and gentle in real life.
Not for Momoa. His tough guy roles do not do justice to his real-life tough guy persona. Doing his own stunts in his film aside, Jason Momoa has quite an impressive list of skills. If you knew his repertoire, you’d definitely want to stick with him in the event of a zombie apocalypse.
Jason Momoa is a martial artist in real life and he trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, sword fighting, axe throwing, and Silan. Yes, we’ll give you a minute to take all that in.
In 2008, Momoa got into a bar fight leaving him with 140 stitches. The scar from that time is now a very visible trademark up his left eyebrow. In 2011, preparing for a role of Conan in the remake film, Momoa literally persuaded a friend to punch him in the nose. According to Momoa, this is so that he can get that ‘broken-face’ look for the film.
Jason Momoa is no ordinary Hollywood star. He’s tough, he’s strong and he’s a cool guy that you would not want to see the bad side.
