Fourteen years into the film industry and we have seen some pretty remarkable advancements in special effects and so much more. Particularly for fiction and sci-fi films that require more than just a wild imagination.
Hellboy came out in 2004, 14 years ago. The story is centered on a fictional superhero who is actually a half-human, half-demon, Hellboy (or his true name Anung Un Rama), follows the path of the good and joins the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. The BPRD, in its name, is an agency that protects humans from the paranormal and evil. The film starred Ron Perlman as Red and Selma Blair as Liz Sherman and Hellboy’s love interest.
The film was based on writer-artist Mike Mignola’s comic creation of the same title in 1993. The film was a fresh plot in the movie industry and fictional superhero genre, and an excellent choice as a comic-to-movie. This is further confirmed with gracious feedbacks from movie critics and a minor box office hit.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army was released on July 2008 by Universal Pictures. The reboot is set for release this April 2019. Check out the official trailer of here:
