Although it’s a continuous argument on who gets to win the ultimate DC superhero fight, (because let’s face it, they’re all awesome) let’s take a look at the facts on Billy Batson’s, or Captain Marvel’s, or Shazam’s incredible superpowers.

Shazam / IMDB

As a boy, Billy Batson is just like any other ordinary teenager. But when he yells the word “Shazam”, which an ancient wizard has endowed to him, he becomes Captain Marvel. What are his superpowers, you ask? Take note that the word ‘superpowers’ has an ‘s’ because Captain Marvel’s powers are plural.

The word “Shazam” is actually more than just a magic word. It’s an acronym that stands for all the gods who combined their powers and subsequently bequeathed it to Captain Marvel. S for the Wisdom of Solomon; H for the Strength of Hercules; A for the Stamina of Atlas; Z for the Power of Zeus; A for the Courage of Achilles; and M for the Speed of Mercury. All these powers basically make up the entire Captain Marvel! Just with these powers alone can make him the strongest superhero in the DC world there is.
